Distinguishing NMOSD From MS: Building Clarity and Awareness

At We Are ILL, we consider MS to be somewhat of a "pitstop" for those who are ultimately diagnosed with NMOSD. In this virtual patient education program, a medical expert specializing in neurology guides participants through a comprehensive exploration of Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Through patient advocate stories, informative presentations, and real-life case studies, attendees gain a deep understanding of the distinct characteristics, symptoms, diagnostic processes, and treatment options for each condition. Attendees leave with a clear grasp of how these autoimmune disorders affect the central nervous system, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare. The first 50 RSVPs will receive a resource kit in the mail.

Participants include Dr. Jacqueline Rosenthal, a board-certified neurologist; Monica Jones, an NMOSD advocate; and Connie O'Neal-Bates, an MS advocate.
